Family Therapy

Family therapy may be necessary where there are disturbances in the family system.

Family therapy focuses explicitly on altering the interactions among family members and seeks to improve the functioning of the family as a unit, or its subsystems, and the functioning of individual members of the family.

By increasing the problem-solving capacity and communication within the family system, the individual client can be helped to recover from his problem.

Family therapy is a recognized form of treatment in major psychiatric problems such as internet addiction, schizophrenia, depression, relationship issues, alcohol or drug use, career issues, conversion related disorders eating disorders, bipolar disorder, etc.

Anger Management

Anger is a fundamental emotion that affects mental and physical health, and may interfere with one’s interpersonal relationships.

Anger management can help in avoiding destructive behaviour, communicate with others effectively, solve problems and reach your goals.

The purpose of anger management is to reduce both your emotional feelings and the physiological arousal that anger causes.

Anger management initiates with understanding the causes and signs of anger and teaches you ways of monitoring yourself in those situations that prevent an anger outburst.

Our psychologists will help you find out what it is that triggers your anger, and then develop strategies to keep those triggers from tipping you over the edge.


Cognitive Behaviour Therapy

CBT consists of a group of treatment procedures aimed at identifying and modifying faulty thought processes, attitudes and attributions, and problem behaviours.

It focuses on solutions, encouraging patients to challenge distorted cognitions and change destructive patterns of behaviour.

CBT is now considered to be the most effective forms of therapy, especially when clients incorporate strategies into their daily life.

CBT has been proven to be an effective tool in the management of variety of mental health issues such as depression, bipolar disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, relationship issues, confidence issues, phobias, panic, schizophrenia and OCD to name a few.

Interpersonal Therapy

Interpersonal therapy assumes that the development and maintenance of some psychiatric illnesses occur in a social and interpersonal context and that the onset, response to treatment.

Its outcomes are influenced by the interpersonal relations between the patient and significant others.

The overall goal of IPT is to reduce or eliminate psychiatric symptoms by improving the quality of the patient’s current interpersonal relations and social functioning.

IPT is concerned with the interpersonal context, the relational factors that influence, precipitate and propagate the patient’s distress.

In addition, the treatment also aims to help patients to develop their social support network, so that they can better manage their present interpersonal distress.
